We’re gonna learn how to use the hand-tracked controllers, how to set up your play area, different game settings and cameras as well that are involved in the process, but we’re not just going to learn how to use the SDK. So you’re gonna get very familiar with the SteamVR SDK.

We’ll be doing a lot of things in this course. And now, well, let’s go and destroy the rest of the city and let’s go now and take a look at the learning goals of this course. Be very careful when playing this experience. Something I want to mention is that please be careful when you play this game because it’s very easy to hit things around you, to reach the walls in your room and please don’t hurt yourself. Of course, the hardware requirements are different on each one but we’re going to adapt it for, so that everyone can play this game. So this will work basically on every single platform, whether it’s desktop or mobile. Now if you don’t have hand-tracked controllers, at the end of the course, we are going to be adapting the experience to work with a reticle as well. You can go and destroy buildings and try to sort of throw things at these dinosaurs and this experience works with SteamVR-compatible controllers, so that includes the HTC Vibe, which is what I’m using now, but it also works with Oculus Touch and other SteamVR-compatibles of smaller manufacturers as long as they can be mapped to Unity buttons. In this course, you’ll learn to create a room-scale experience where you are a giant dinosaur and you have to fight, throw things at these other dinosaurs that are coming at you.
